History

 

LandWorks Cultural Association (LW) was found in 2011 and organizes itinerant international workshops on art, architecture and landscape into value places of particular historical-environmental, in a strong state of degradation and neglect with suffering socio-economic characteristics. Enhancing and regenerate the selected sites through culture and creativity, with the active involvement of experts, teachers, professionals, international students of architecture, landscape, art and photography and the participation of the resident community, in a multidisciplinary spectrum. 

Embracing the varied creative and performing disciplines (art, architecture, design, dance, music and theatre), LW develops social and cultural innovation projects: it organizes workshops and experimental laboratories, artistic, study and research residencies, training internships, museum installations, cultural and recreational events, conferences, seminars, festivals, cultural marketing activities.

Argentiera is the operational headquarters, a former mining village in the northern Sardinia where it has launched a project of urban regeneration, collaborating with the community, local and international institutions.
